Sample Programs: New Product Launch
Here is a sample of a new product launch program we recently executed for an advertiser.
Campaign Goal:
1.Create impact to target audience of Federal IT executives
2.Establish immediate brand recognition for advertiser’s new product
Program Element 1: Insert - Gatefold
The advertiser chose an insert program to create visual impact to FCW’s target audience. By running a complete Gatefold focused on their latest product, with the center spread and back page devoted to their corporate branding, they achieved their marketing objective of introducing their new product to their target audience.
The piece ran in FCW to a total of 80,000 subscribers.
The advertiser also opted to publish the piece as a whitepaper on FCW.com and ordered 500 reprints which they used as collateral for their sales team’s efforts.
Program Element 2: Topic Takeover
Topic Takeovers are a great opportunity to ‘own’ a topic of choice on FCW.com. By choosing a topic closely aligned to their product launch, the advertiser received 100% share-of-voice with dedicated roadblock banner placement within the topic channel site itself. The advertiser sponsored this topic for a 3 month period.
Result:
- Advertiser fielded 10% more product inquiries than normal during the month in which the gatefold insert was run.
- 45,000 banner impressions delivered driving traffic to advertiser’s product launch website.
